This was definitely a peach of a ride. Only 9 miles, but important to get these two really lovely towns under our belt. We started this ride in Barnet, parking at the bottom of Roy Mountain Road. From there, we headed up Roy Mountain Road, which was a gentle climb, with beautiful views off to the west.
After less than a mile, we turned right onto W Main St. into West Barnet, a very small but very cute village. From there we quickly turned onto Old West Road, which climbed pretty steadily for quite a while until leveling off into some beautiful riding with lovely views. It basically turns into Hollow Wood Road down into East Peacham.
The ride then turns right on Thaddeus Stevens Road, which climbs up, up, up before heading down, down, down – coasting almost two miles, back into Barnet again and our car.
Very quick ride, but such lovely views and roads!
