Brunswick is a town with about 26 square miles, with a lot of forests and very few residents. In fact, there were 88 residents reported in the 2020 census.

Out and back

This is another one of those North East Kingdom rides where you park at the end of the road where it hits Route 105, and ride in for as far as you can, then turn around and ride back. That said, this is a safe and flat four mile ride, and there is always a chance of viewing wildlife in their natural habitat.

We rode on Notch Pond Road, a service road for the wildlife management and the power company. The first section of road slopes only 2 to 4% on the way to the power line. It is 1.5 miles to the power line from Route 105, then roads under the power line road go in both directions. Once under the power lines, the slope varies.

Ledge outcroppings dot the forest for beautiful rock formations.

You may be able to continue southeast on Magog Road beyond the power line, and some maps indicate you could ride all the way to Route 102. We were not able to ascertain.
