For the start of this ride, we parked in the school yard of the Sutton Elementary.

The pavement ends at the edge of the village, Sheffield Road continues a few miles, crossing Calendar Brook, then into an area with residential development.

Berry Hill is more residential, mostly uphill to the turn for Gold Mine Road.  This is a class 4, a small part of it may be hike-a-bike, it was for us, up and down, over large rocks and bare ledge a few places, to Wood Hill where a better quality gravel road started again.

Wood Hill loops back in to Sheffield Road for the ride back to Sutton.

The thing that made this ride work as a loop is a cut through on Gold Mine Road at mile 3.5. It ended up being a pretty rough class 4 road that went for two miles. It was a fun ride, if a little rough.
